Today, I will introduce you to my latest design with amirisu magazine. Stripe, colour work and lace fill the pages of Issue 22, as well as a beautiful craft guide to Okinawa. Due to covid, the amirisu team decided to explore areas of Japan outside of the mainland. There are twelve knitting patterns inside and my contribution, Fay, is one of them. This summery collection is photographed in and around the Osaka Prefectural Flowers Garden and I am here for the lush green vibes after spending a winter indoors.

Spring has arrived in Helsinki with a handful of nice days. However, we just made it through a long week of overcast skies with periods of rain. That kind of weather that has me thinking more about future autumn knits rather than the summer sewing projects I should be planning now.

From the view through social media, it must look like I am not up to much at the moment. However, there are plenty of new items on my needles that will be unearthed in the Spring. Right now, I do have one project to share with you. It is older but I have not shared the design process of this one yet. Let’s take a closer look at Afield, orignally published last winter in Pom Pom Quarterly’s Issue 31. I also wanted to share something I am changing about my self-published patterns but more on that towards the end.
