Fiona Alice published her first knitting book, Take Heart: A Transatlantic Knitting Journey, with Pom Pom Press in 2015. Those patterns are now slowly becoming available as individual downloads for the first time.

To fit head circumference up to: 51 (56) cm / 20 (22)” – to be worn with 7.5-10 cm / 3-4” negative ease
Finished circumference: 40.5 (46) cm / 16 (18)” circumference
Finished height: 23 (24) cm / 9 (9½)” with brim folded up
Yarn: Handmaiden Fine Yarn Lady Godiva (DK weight; 50% wool, 50% silk; 250 m / 273 yds per 100 g skein)
Shade: Plum; 1 (1) skein
Note: You will need 2 skeins to make the Hat and matching Mitts
Gauge: 26 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” over Twisted Rib on 3.75 mm needles after blocking
Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 40 cm / 16” length
3.75 mm / US 5 circular needle, 40 cm / 16” length
3.75 mm / US 5 DPNs for crown shaping
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
