HEATHER BREEZE

€5.90

Heather Breeze began as a collboration between Fiona and Nature’s Luxury, a yarn company based in Germany. The Edinburgh Connection, a mini collection curated by Nature’s Luxury, featured several designers who had all attend the Edinburgh Yarn Festival in 2016. The soft lavender colour reminded Fiona Alice of the flowers starting to bloom in her friend’s Scottish garden during her stay in Edinburgh and inspired her to create the lovely Heather Breeze Shawl. The feather-like, lacy band in Silk Divine and the delicate details give it a romantic touch and make this crescent-shaped shawl so very special.

The lace border is worked first by using two strands of Silk Divine held together. Stitches are picked up along one side and then short-rows are used to create the main body. Stitches are picked up again to create the edging and a final
crochet trim finishes it off. To pick up stitches: insert needle into yo, from front to back, wrap yarn around needle and pull through as if to knit.
